I would get the huskies set and the Milwaukee impact set best of both worlds best being for yourbuck
As a mobile mechanic, I have always went Milwaukee. I have the 56 piece 3/8 socket set i got two years ago for $100 on sale at northern tool. And that one set has everything i needed for motor and transmission swaps, i can take a whole car apart even if i use the sockets with a breaker bar or extended ratchet they work quite well, even with 1/2 in adapter to 3/8 on a impact gun they don’t snap, very high strength test I’ve broken ratchets but not those sockets! Plus the best thing that i like about it is that the socket tray can be removed and put in a toolbox drawer and also they go from 6mm all the way to 19 mm no slips, 6, 7, and even 11mm in both deep and short sockets are included in the set. Hands down the best set I’ve owned just bought two more sets for my mechanics not to mention the ratchet that come with it is 120 tooth now i know eery tool manufacturer has an option for 120 tooth but the Milwaukee ratchets have a 4 degree swing that even my snap on ratchets could not compete with, absolutely the best for all around mechanic work in tight spaces, the squared body of the sockets aside from being anti roll also serve a double purpose being that you can put a box wrench or ratcheting wrench on them if you can’t fit the socket and the ratchet in a tight spot they literally thought of every application with this set
Just looking at quality, the Milwaukee sockets will never break, while something in every other kit will. From a value/startup kit the Huskey will serve you well until you get serious.

Sometimes the things they lock up make zero sense, like why is there a steel cable around the $99 husky sets but the top one isn’t connected to the cable but no cables on the dewalt sets? Like what’s going on? Lmao.
Husky is amazing for what it is and the price for a home set that you dont care if someone breaks or loses something. Milwaukee for quality "me only" home set 😅

I wish i had known the Milwaukee set was on sale, good to know it gets down that low though. The Milwaukee set is the highest quality. But for $100 I’d say the husky is the best set. I use the Milwaukee set at work, good tolerances on the set, not a lot of back drag on the ratchet, nice feel to it, and the squared sockets are a nice feature. If I’m just starting? Husky. If I’m adding to my tool set? Milwaukee.
I like the $150 dewalt kit on amazon. All 6 point sockets is nice

When I was a youth in my 20’s we never had deals for tools like they have now. My present tool set is a mesh mosh of Snap on, craftsman, asian made rachets, sockets and open end wrenches several decades old. The tools on Black Friday are beautiful and perfectly priced. Great deals!

None I am 19 and broke and spent all my money on milwaukee m12 power tools and almost 800 dollars later, I have a 1/4 3/8 1/2 craftsman set I got from napa auto parts when they ran a Christmas deal 3 years ago and it had some sae and metric wrenches for 100 dollers and I can go to Lowes or napa auto parts and get something replaced with a lifetime warranty and mine came in the box similar to husky in the video.
DeWalt and Husky were rather decent in test reviews I’ve seen but I would lean more DeWalt since it was one I grew up with and Milwaukees probably up there with them but still DeWalt pulls my heart strings
Husky lifetime warranty, ratchets are smooth, everythings in 1 place $99 bucks throw it in truck. I did Milwaukee and DeWalt have nicer finish on sockets but can’t beat deal
Craftsman is still the best.
Husky seems like the best here but harbor freight has a deal for the 225 piece one from Pittsburgh and it seems pretty good too

bought a dewalt set like 4 years ago for 100 bucks and that is still the basis of my toolset. not too many skips, really nice ratchets and sockets, overall very happy with the set.
I bought a 1/4 inch set and I abused the crap out of it. It’s built to last. Plus those sockets are easy to know who has your sockets.
