Testing the Makita XGT 40v Drill with 5 heavy duty tools

If you saw my last video, you know I destroyed 2 drills while making log furniture. So, I went looking for a new, powerful drill. This is not sponsored, I bought the Makita 40v drill with my own money, and in this video, I will do some heavy-duty testing and see if this drill survives!

I honestly think it’s a matter of personal preference, and budget.
Milwaukee and Flex both have super powerful drills.
Thanks for the conformation, I just got one of these for building a roundhouse, good to see it will be up to the job…looking forward to your other videos now 😊👍
Thank you Jesper, great video, just subscribed.
Tha is for the review it’s honest and tangible
Hi Sir where to buy those drill bits? Cheers from Indonesia
Thanks for the video Jesper — Could you please tell me brand for those augers?
Holly crap. This Makita is out of this world.
Finally watching this. I’ve put it off, in part, because I want to do this tenon cutting SO much after seeing the bench(es?) you made some time back. Saving up (after the drill press fund is full)!
Great example demo on the gear, Jesper. Thanks!
Like wood chips in ya coffee? 😂
Im in the u s and i rely on oversea reviews…most of these u.s reviews are suspect to me lol
Hvad er navnet på det store sneglebor?
Great video 👍 I just bought my first Makita cordless. The 40V 3/4 inch impact . I was absolutely blown away when I opened the box ! The unique quality of the Makita tools is so impressive.
I really want to get one of those tenon cutters! I’m wondering how it will do in my Makita Hammer drill!
Do not over-work your battery tools if you have A/C easily available.
Most dramatic review video…i like the music and sound effect also
Dainer design sent me here for the first time and i am impressed with the review. The drill seem`s to have no problem with the different attachments and In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger ( I`ll Be Back ).
Esas pruebas son buenas 👍👍
hard test even for a makita…thanks for going all out in the test
Very impressive performance! Got some wood chips in your coffee near the end though (I do it all the time 😬)
This is like commercial for makita, you can ask to represent their tools,makita-ambassador.
wow
That’s a beastly drill… I approve.
What a beast!
"And I have this massive stump thats heavy which I lift with ease" thank you for reviewing this I been thinking about this platform
At last !!! This videos are the best , recording the best , in bit , the power’s.
Your coffee nearly went on the last test. For me, the drill would be gone if that happened…
I love Makita
Makita XGT Heavy duty 💪Hello from #Makita® Viet Nam 🇻🇳
Heyyy what’s up Jesper! Didn’t think I’d see you in here! Love watching your furniture videos.
Wow! that’s impressive. My ridged is not competing with that. good investment.
dope video
the next time you have to make holes, you can make 2 holes on the ring left by the hole sow. it helps with the removal of sawdust, and because of this it reduces friction.

Where are the links for drillbits?
If you like any other 40V tools definitely check out Adzy’s Goods (adzygoods.com)
Excellent video, direct and straight to the point. These 40V Makitas are simply amazing, I have the angle grinder and the sliding compound mitre saw and I absolutely recommend them both, simply brilliant. Love the channel, you have a new subscriber.
Ive got the same drill i call it the wrist braker everyone that has used it almost broke there wrist 👌
Looks like their cars arent the only reliable products from japan
Who makes those auger bits ?
I’ve seen tools & stuff use this drill for. Drilling out 300mm wide hole in the ground with This drill and it did it!! some serious power in this little drill. 💪🏻
Yes, this thing is a BEAST. I recently used mine to drill 12mm holes with a HSS drill bit in 6mm tough steel… no problem at ALL. While my old NiMH 14,4V Makita already struggled with 10mm in this steel, the HP001 really went through like… well, as if it was a 6mm piece of WOOD.
Wow
How much is it sir?
Hola! 🖐Really cool video, I enjoyed the "tense" music. Looks like you found a tool that can handle your demand. Take care and have a good one, Adios! 👊
If you haven’t already, try Famag Bormax 2.0 Forstner bits. They should be much better than standard types due to their geometry and easier on the machine.
Thanks for the helpful video.
Watched load of "Drill test videos" and this is exactly the test for a drill!
If the drill can perform the largest hole cutter, largest auger and longest auger then cut a handle well… it will certainly sink in a screw 😂🤣😂
Nice, I have the old 18v hammer drill version of that and it’s good but that one looks like it would blow the other one out of the water!
Love the tenon bit, been looking for one but did not know what they were called!
How many recharge cycles do these Makita batteries hold up, before you’d have to buy a replacement?
Impressive!
Great stuff as always. I use a corded milwaukee drill for the tenons. It would be nice to have a drill that was cordless and powerful enough so I can work outside. What is the brand for the 2 inch auger bit? Where did you get that from? They are hard to find
