How much
I wish I wasn’t so afraid of the circular saw. I bought a cordless one and I’m still afraid to use it. I use jig saws, reciprocating saws, hand saws and drills and all this stuff, but I have such a fear of the circular saw.
I’m a woman that does all my own diy stuff around the house and I’d like to know if anyone else out there had a fear of a circular saw at first. I know most men have no fear of powerful tools. So maybe some women can chime in so I can use my saw that’s collecting dust.

I was framing my roof last week with a cordless left blade then at the end I had to pull out the old electric full-size skillsaw right blade to cut like a couple times and it’s so awkward and I curse so much time . And I’m like wtf do I do with the cord that in my way anywhere I put it because I cut once already with the saw.
Heighth is not a word
As a total beginner this was very useful to me. Thank you. I could have done without the background music though as that just makes it harder to hear and concentrate.

I haven’t touched a saw since shop class and this is a skill I really want to learn.
I have a decent source for scrap wood and I’m looking to make some mountain bike type ramps using said material. I would like to know if there is a saw in particular that I should look for or will a name brand corded saw be just fine? The material being pallets and 2×4.

For cutting 18mm ply what should the blade depth be? How much of the blade should you see on the underside of the ply?
I am 53, and literally never even HELD a power-tool in my hand….so this experience is completely new to me!
My circular saw only will go so far and then can’t push it any further. The wood hits the back of the saw, and prevents it from moving any further inward.
There are subtitles right over the saw and what specifically he is trying to explain. Frustrating as I can’t see what he is trying to show
