On today’s episode we test the top request brands of combination wrench spanners from USA and Europe including Bahco, Gedore, Stahwille, Hazet, Wera, Beta, King Dick, Snap-On, Mac tools, Proto, Cornwell and Williams.

That’s a lot of wrenches, we try to move through them quickly but each wrenches is tested 3-5 times including both forward and reverse directions in case one is a benefit.

As always, the creator of this channel works in product development for Astro Tools, who also make wrenches but I don’t believe any combination wrenches. Anyways, always consider multiple sources when looking as a tool!

  1. Hi, mech fitter here, born worked and lived in Scotland my whole life… curious, who in the fook told you king shying is any good whatsoever???
King dick is literally a standing joke in the tool world!! English garbage that not only snapps at jaw but regularly just snapped in half without levers lol

  2. Интересный факт, в моей стране головку на 9, 11, 15, 16, 20 можно встретить крайне редко.

  3. I hope our European friends appreciate the European posting time of this video 😛 BTW, we ordered a Facom 2 months ago and it’s still not here

  4. Honestly I’d love to see you test some spanners that are sold here in Australia. Tool pro, tool pro x, king chrome and sidcrhome

  5. Dont do us brits like that ,
No one uses king dick spanners / wrenches , i use franklin tools made in sheffield england
King dick ha ha ha its like a tool from ww1 ha ha ha

  6. The open end of the wrench was never ment for high toque situations period. That’s what the box end is for. Break the fastener loose then use the open end.

  7. Wygląda na to że king d*ck za słabo odpuszcza stal, za krótki czas trzymają klucze w piecu gdy te wygrzewają się zaraz po zahartowaniu

  8. Wanna see a review of halfords tools (UK)
Lifetime warranty on majority of tools would be good to do a comparison with more expensive life time warranty like Snap On

  9. My whole toolbox is basically just williams/proto, and I love them. The only tool I’ve had from either that I didn’t enjoy was proto’s Vice tongs.

If you buy a super combo set, and 1/2” ratchet/socket combo from Williams you’ll never have to buy another, and the price is right compared to the rest of the US market. The ratchet is serviceable, and the wrenches are monsters. I use them in heavy industrial maintenance, beating on the wrenches with hammers, tossing the sockets on impacts. Couldn’t be happier.

  10. i think most european wrenches are more focused on being slim because when you are using the open end it’s usually in tight spaces where you really want than being thin. it’s fun to think at how many times i had to thin out a wrench. thank god chinese cheap wrenches exist.

  11. I have had the pleasure of using the MAC knuckle saver and they felt incredible in the hand. Hard to describe but just the feel of them gives you a pleasant feeling.

  12. Bahco is no longer made in Sweden and quality, while still mostly good, has dropped from the legendary levels. AFAIK our only premium tool brand that actually feels premium when using and durability-wise is Kamasa Tools. Those are proper tools. But Bahco? Might as well buy Biltema brand (Biltema is like Harbour freight I think? Or a less varied Walmart? I dont know, never been to USA)

  13. European tools mainly came from the world of machinery repair, industrial work which explains their design, the satin finish is a bit more grippy. While our American tools mostly come form the world of automotive repair and the chrome finish resists liquids like oils and grease from automotive repair much better than satin finish. One wipe and Chrome is clean from car fluids.

  14. 54 a wrench, lol they should be called "bend over".criminal, why would you get raped when every tool I’ve owned ,craftsman,Metwrench,my go to set over and over, they never slip and do both SAE and Metric, they all offer lifetime replace

  15. I wonder why didn’t you use a eat a hardened nut. and have a gauge on the mouth of the wrench to show when it widened on the slip

  16. I love wera tools. they’re not scared to think outside the box and they have a lot of innovative and super useful tools. Sure they may not pack quite the punch but thats not really what u grab one of their tools for.

  17. At my old work we found a huge king dick spanner, probably for changing a chuck on a lathe, that sort of size. Always kept it on one guys desk as he was the guardian of the huge dick.

  18. I’m from the UK and I am a technician I have never seen a "king dick" tool loool seems like a novelty lol. I just have regular halfords advanced spanners which I purchased as an apprentice 8 years ago. They slip when you really give them some excessive force I have taken many an O2 and NOx sensor out with them before also because I’m a risky guy, but for a purchase made 8 years ago it works out at like nothing a peice including the rachets and sockets which are also still in use an all in one 200+ peice set for £250 all been pretty good and it’s all lifetime warranty, (the company halfords basically makes all it’s money by selling so much to the average joe it can undercut everyone else) so I’ve had my 8 year old 1/4 drive rachet (only thing to fail so far) replaced with a brand new one. The big stuff like impacts I go for big brands but everything else is whatever was best value/reveiws with a lifetime warranty that I could get online without having to wait for some bloke in a van to come sell me something and so far never failed me I even have some of the infamous US pro stuff and it’s fine not great but just fine and alot of it is waranted anyway.

  19. Why did you try the wrenches in different directions? The Hazet was pointing downwards, the proto up. It will make a difference

  20. For me Hazet is the best one, closely followed by Gedore it is the best for the price and the finish and shape are simply beautiful

  21. Best wrench I ever worked was the old Snap-On XM the gripshaft made from tube, it was hollow lightweight and perfekt grip area.

  22. In high torque situations I use the Gedore XL series, one set of XL and one set of standard length are in my tool box, as there is one set of these Wera ratchet wrenches with the holder at the other end.
Very handy in narrow spaces where your fingers can’t reach in and the ratchet is ideal when you have to remove nuts from dirty studs where a socket is too short.

  23. Hi! Something very important that you should know is in which country they are manufactured, not in which country the trademark is registered, and in which category we are comparing, in my modest opinion as a 35-year professional in mechanics, on average the best American brand Snapoo and the best European brand, much to my regret, is the French Facom. The rest of the well-known brands are similar, whether it is the Italian Beta, the Spanish Palmera or the rest named here. And what about the Korean and Japanese ones? … be careful, they work very well too!
